  2. As CFA Regional Officer between 1975 and 1995 I had the great pleasure of being fairly closely associated with Joe. I soon developed a genuine respect for him. He was a very credible person, whose opinions I valued. He could also be described as one of ‘natures gentlemen’ There is no doubt the Winton community and the CFA as a whole, benefitted from Joe’s unselfish volunteer service.
