Tributes
  1. Uncle John, I only had the pleasure of meeting you in person on that one unforgettable family holiday twenty years ago. However, you were everything my father had told me you were and more: a kind and patient man who enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. You were generous with your time and energy, and possessed the same unmistakable sense of humour and spirit I see in my own dad. Not only that, but you loved your family with all your heart, and portrayed nothing but immense pride in your wonderful children and wife, who held you equally dearly in their own hearts and carry fragments of you in the amazing adults they’ve all become. I will always be sad that so many miles physically separated us, but will always be grateful that your tenderness towards family and friends was capable of bridging that distance effortlessly. Rest well uncle, love and miss you always.
