When I sit down and think about what to say today, I realized something important---Robyn and I weren’t especially close in the way some siblings are. Life took us in different directions at times, and there were gaps between us at times.
But love is not always measured by closeness or constant conversation.
Sometimes it lives quietly underneath everything----in shared history, in childhood memories’, in knowing that someone has been part of your life from the beginning.
No matter the distance between us, Robyn was my sister and that bond mattered to me.
I am grateful for the moments we did share, for the connection we had simply by being sisters, and for the fact she was part of my story.
Rest peacefully, dear sister. You will be remembered.
