The saddest news to hear of Kristin passing. A beautiful talented woman with the kindest heart. I will so miss her generosity – always available to give advice on stock issues and play her music at events. She is irreplaceable in the Tatong community and I am sure further afield. My deep condolences to her family.

My heartfelt condolences to the Marriott family on the tragic passing of Kristin and Max. I always looked forward to their coming to see me in Melbourne and Kristin’s e-mails keeping me appraised of hers and Max’s progress. As a Physio, I often get attached to my patients but Kristin and Max were just so special. I, like many, miss them dearly and send my love to all the family. Be at peace together.

Melbourne Royal Directors, management and staff are deeply saddened by the passing of Max Marriott and his wife Kristin. Max was a Melbourne Royal Life Councillor, Honorary Life member and President’s Medal recipient. Max and Kristin will be fondly remembered as long-time supporters of Melbourne Royal and in particular the Horses in Action competition at the Melbourne Royal Show. Our sincere condolences and deepest sympathy to Max and Kristin’s family and friends.

Kristin was our vet for many years until she relocated to the other side of the mountain range to follow her dream and passion. Such a wonderful , bright, passionate and compassionate person always, regardless of the time of day, or ridiculous weather. So very very sad to hear of this tragic loss to your family and community.

Kristin, so many happy times spent together as children, often with our grandparents also. You were a little ray of sunshine then and as an adult you continued to bring life and laughter to a room.I will miss seeing you. I was saddened to hear of Max and Kristin’s passing, and sorry I was unable to attend their memorial service today. From our time working together in the horse section of the the Royal Melbourne Show they became mentors and friends who will be missed and for their tireless work in community. My heartfelt condolences to all the family on your loss.
Unbeknownst to Max, as a little girl I would go into the paddock behind your Chandler Rd home and feed the Clydesdales some carrot and apple. Alfred? Albert? They would come thundering up and stop directly in front of me. I barely made the top of their legs in height. On one occasion Max saw me there and was so panicked as I was in the paddock with them thundering towards me. He allowed me to continue giving them treats if I promised to stay behind the wire fence. Max was such a lovely man. So very tall! He hasn’t changed over the years. I remember he became a father whilst living there. It must have been Andrew.
I have memories of seeing the horses pulling the market garden cart in the Moomba procession also. Special memories.
