McDonald – James Garry “Jimmy”‘

In Loving Memory of James (Jimmy) McDonald.

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of James Garry McDonald (Jimmy) – Husband to Jennifer, proud Father of Gene, Alex and Nikita and adoring Pop to Lawson, Carter, Slater, Lottie and Wyatt.

Jimmy was a man who never met a stranger.  With his easy smile, kind words and thoughtful nature, he made friends wherever he went.  He was known for never turning up empty-handed, always arriving with something to share.

For the past six years, Jimmy made his home at Boxwood with Gene and his family, becoming an irreplaceable part of their daily lives.  His much anticipated weekly deliveries of apple pie, cream, and custard became a tradition – thoughtful gestures that, even if not needed, were given out of love and care.  This generosity was pure Jim.

A showman at heart, Jimmy’s love for shows and festivals ran deep and lives on through his children.  He was endlessly proud of the lives they created – always helping Nikita with Pixies Toys, supporting Gene with Pixies Catering, and lending a hand with Alex’s coffee business.  If there was a show or a festival, you could be sure Jim was there – working and encouraging those he loved most.

Jim was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.  His legacy lives on in the family he cherished, the community he supported, and the countless memories he leaves behind.
