It is with broken hearts that the family of Ian James McInerney announces his unexpected passing on Saturday 18 April 2026 in tragic circumstances.
The love of her life and devoted husband to Liz.
Father and father in-law of Paul and Catherine, Anna and Aaron and Andrew and Cassie.
Beloved grandfather of Aya, Edith, Clementine, Billie, Frankie, Ewan, Joni and Sloane.
The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the first responders, family, friends and the community for the outpouring of support during this unimaginably difficult time.
Dearly loved and respected friend of Tim and Wendy McNamara, Tracey and Warwick, Ryan and Dannielle, Kylie and Brendan and their families.

The funeral service to celebrate the life of Mr Ian James McInerney will be held at the Chiltern General Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Chiltern on Thursday 30th April 2026 commencing at 1.00 pm. followed by a celebration of life at the A E Henderson Pavilion, Rutherglen show grounds to remember Ian “Paddy” McInerney.
