Dear Andrew and family,
David and I are very sad to hear of your loss. We spoke with Jean on many occasions at the Melbourne Scots functions and greatly enjoyed her company. We wish you all the best at this sad time and will think of Jean with great fondness.
Best wishes
Vivien and David Dickson

Oh Jean, I got such a shock when I read the AGE tonight and learned that you had died. I only saw you once or twice a year, but treasured those moments. You will be so missed, especially by Andrew and your family. This photo of you is such a good choice. Your eyes speak to me of your interest in others, your empathy, your honesty and your gentle humour. I can hear your voice Graham and I will hold you, Andrew and your family in our hearts and in our prayers, Christine

Just saw this opportunity to acknowledge Jean’s life and
then, inevitably, her passing as we all must. She was such a great friend to me through the Melbourne Scots and I always felt that she
‘’Had my back’. She fought furiously against her slow decline, as I saw it, and maintained her dignity and life force.
Penelope and I will miss that occasional vital spark in our lives.
