  6. Dear Shirley
You taught me everything I know when it comes to wildlife care and animal rescue. You not only got me through my animal studies with your incredible knowledge but you were also a shoulder to lean on in the hardest part of my time at school.
When things got the best of me you were always there to talk to with open ears and open arms. You gave me strength to push through it and I couldn’t have done it without you.
You were an absolute pillar to our community and always there when there was an animal in need.
So much so that you had trouble stopping. As long as the wildlife was cared for you pushed through it, despite your own struggles.
I hope you can rest peacefully, knowing you taught so many who will continue on your voyage.
I personally will never forget what you taught me and will continue to talk about you, a Benalla legend who deserves all the credit for your service. I hope we can organise something special in your memory, you deserve to be remembered by this generation and future generations to come!

Rest easy now friend with your dear Bill
